Hurry up and wait (Part 2)

July 12, 2011 — 2 Comments

13 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 14 saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.” 15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. (Hebrews 6:13-15 NIV)

Sorry, I know i just did a post about waiting but it just keeps coming up! I Loath waiting. I am one of the most impatient people in the world. When I want something I want it now or at least some reassurance that I will receive it soon. Christmas is really killer for me. Still, at 28 years old I can’t stand seeing all those wrapped presents under the tree and having to wait!
I wont bore you with the details but an opportunity has come up in my life and all I can do now is wait. I have prayed, I have fasted, and I have put my faith into action, and all that seems left to do is wait. Moses did it, why can’t I. God promised him many descendants, so many that they would outnumber the stars…but he had to wait. If you have done all you know to do and you find yourself doubting God and you feel like the thing your waiting for will never come, just remember that all his promises are true and his timing is perfect.

Just keep livin’
