Yesterday we kicked off a new series called, “Jesus is _____.” Through John 8:1-11 we learned that Jesus is there for people; broke, sick, twisted, hurt, outcast, weird, normal, lost people. We often assume that we aren’t like the pharisees (who thought they were doing right) and we never throw accusatory verbal rocks at anyone. What about the people you don’t have a relationship with? The ones who are in the spotlight? Musicians? Actors? Politicians? I know it is easy to throw rocks at people you don’t know but I must say that God died for them just as much as he did for you. Even if you don’t agree with them or like them, try throwing prayers at them instead of rocks filled with accusations and allegations. Because we are the same as her.
Being an accuser will take you further away from God and the people you think you are helping.
